Creativity is a valuable asset when you have to furnish a small space. And this apartment today proves it in full.
Marta Prats, the designer who took care of this interior design, had a difficult mission. Having only 60 square meters at her disposal, this family wanted a spacious, bright and welcoming home. Thus, some walls and doors were reconfigured, and the furniture was chosen carefully. In addition, they opted for pleasant colors and textures to visually enrich the space.
In the living room, the two comfortable sofas, along with the wooden coffee table and two poufs, are delicately complemented by a painting in shades of gray. The built-in bookcase in neutral tones is the perfect place to store various decorations and books. The rattan rocking chair is the centerpiece of the room.
Continuing from the living room, we find the dining area arranged as a link between the two zones. The pine wood table completed by a bench and comfortable, modern Eames chairs represents a practical solution for saving space without sacrificing the functionality of the dining area. The lighting fixture made of wicker adds a slightly rustic touch, being a wonderful match with the tabletop and the rocking chair in the living room.
The kitchen is not lacking in this functional aspect either; the furniture in a very pleasant cream color with an average size, massive cabinets are missing. Instead, open shelves were chosen to not overwhelm the kitchen space, creating a pleasant mix of styles between urban and rustic.
Every detail has been thought out and placed millimeter by millimeter for maximum space utilization. The bedrooms are no exception. For example, Emma's room, the family's daughter, is small and irregular, having 5 walls and two windows that allow generous natural light.
The bed placed against the wall, accompanied by a headboard, small drawers, a cute wardrobe with two doors, a shelf and a desk, plus a play area in the middle of the room, here is the description of the perfect room for a child. The master bedroom is not lacking in its own charm either. The comfort and relaxation provided by discreet and warm tones and fine details transform the room into a very pleasant one.
