From the moment of purchase, these young people knew they would make changes to the apartment. Therefore, for the entire furnishing process, they called upon the help of a design team with whom they consulted regarding the desired changes.
One of their wishes was to open the kitchen to the living room, thus creating a unified living area, a socializing space where both hosts and guests could interact even when cooking. The transformation was possible because the dividing wall was not structural.
Other modifications were also necessary to increase the number of storage areas (see sketch in the photo gallery).
The 65 square meter apartment is configured as a two-room one, with a living room and bedroom, and two bathrooms. For its furnishing, the couple wanted a cheerful color palette, in light tones, with small inserts of colored accents. Stylistically, all they wanted was a simple, modern, functional and as comfortable design as possible.
Thus, the project proposed by the designers met and even exceeded the expectations of the young people.
For the living area, they envisioned two functions that would harmoniously combine. The living room and kitchen are delimited only visually from the positioning of the furniture, the sofa more precisely. The decor is continued by a coffee table and armchair, along with fixtures distributed around the TV area. Nothing complicated, a simple and practical approach.
In the space dedicated to the kitchen, the arrangement follows the same line. The furniture is arranged on a single side, compact, incorporating the work areas necessary for a kitchen. White and the texture of wood at the countertop level keep the layout as bright and airy as possible.
Changes were also made to the sleeping area to increase the fluidity of the spaces and for easy access to the bathroom. The wardrobes were built-in, and the door to the room was moved. Thus, the configuration of the room was slightly modified. The decor is kept modern and functional here as well, ensuring the desired comfort.
The washing machine was integrated into the service bathroom, while for the main bathroom a classic line with a bathtub and sink was pursued, using the same types of ceramic tiles to emphasize the connection between the two spaces.
