With each new layout, we discover new ideas to put into practice. Especially in small spaces, these sources of inspiration are welcome for anyone who wants a renovation or redecoration of their home.
Today, we propose a project for an apartment of approximately 38 square meters, practically a one-bedroom apartment, but reconfigured and transformed into a two-bedroom one.
The client, a young man who wanted to redecorate the apartment where his mother lives, turned to the services of the Living Space architecture firm. For the new space, the beneficiaries requested a modern, bright, comfortable design with storage spaces and a well-defined bedroom.
The approach proposed by the architects is as modern as possible, with a pleasant color palette of neutrals and green accents, without omitting the functional character of the layout.
The space in the living room was delimited from the night area through a system of sliding doors with translucent glass, thus allowing natural light to penetrate even into the bedroom area. The same door system separates the hallway from the living room; practically we have 3 functions ingeniously delimited by the same system that doesn't take up space as traditional swinging doors would.
The living room is minimally approached, with only the strictly necessary furniture pieces, but combined in an aesthetic way. The proposed pieces remind us slightly of the retro style (it's no wonder, considering the age of the beneficiary).
However, the layout itself is modern and functional, ensuring space for a bookcase, a television, a reading area, and a larger storage cupboard. The chosen colors are pleasant and balanced, inspiring warmth and comfort.
In the small space of the bedroom, only 6 square meters, every element is optimized to create a pleasant decor: bed, dresser, and wardrobes for clothes. The wallpaper with a green print describes a tonic accent wall, welcome even for such a small space. The same type of wallpaper can be found in the living room on the wall with the bookcase and television.
In contrast to the white furniture, the effect is fresh, spring-like.
The kitchen plays an important role in this layout, being a place where meals are cooked and family members or close friends are welcomed. Everything is well thought out for the 8 square meters available. The L-shaped arrangement allows for the integration of a dining area.
