In the design of contemporary bathrooms, emphasis is placed on ambiance, achieving a sense of well-being, doubled with functionality and organization. The modern bathroom thus becomes a sanctuary of pleasure where you can indulge in the intimacy of the created decor.

How can you achieve such a feeling? Through the right materials, textures, and accessories. Nothing should be chosen at random. Each element contributes to creating the desired ambiance.

Ceramic tiles, being the basic materials of a bathroom, shape the future design. The colors and pattern you choose are essential. Decorators and architects recommend neutral shades, such as cream and light beiges, moving towards white.

You can insert a model with a border or choose to mount faience only in the splashing areas, such as the bathtub or sink, opting for a washable paint in an identical or similar shade for the rest of the walls. Not everything has to be white. There are bold designs with black or brown accents on one wall (usually the one with the shower or bathtub) or at floor level.

Bet on wood! Wood is making a comeback in bathroom design in various forms, the most pleasant ones warming the space and giving it an aura of naturalness. There are treatments that can be applied to make it resistant in the humid environment of the bathroom. You can opt for both treated laminate and tiles that imitate the look of wood.

In combination with white walls and the shine of sanitary ware, you will be able to create an optimal atmosphere for moments of pampering. Don't hesitate to integrate wooden accessories or supports, such as a small bench or a stool near the bathtub where rolled towels, 2-3 scented candles, and a soap made from natural ingredients with a delicate aroma can be placed.

If space allows, you can choose for the bathtub vessel to stand alone, like in a real spa salon.

Always keep order in the bathroom. Avoid cluttering it with care products or cosmetics.

Either move them to another storage location (it is generally recommended that cosmetic products should not be kept in the humid environment of the bathroom to avoid their deterioration), or place them in special containers (see boxes of various shapes that you can find at a decent price at Ikea or any other home furnishings store).

If the bathroom space is not very generous, choose a suspended sink with 2 drawers to help you store more easily everything you need for daily care.

Also, in a contemporary bathroom we will find the toilet bowl suspended, often with the tank built into the wall (this depends on everyone's preference).

To enjoy your bathroom space to the fullest, choose the right lighting. White light is recommended, general for the entire bathroom and accent lights above the mirror.
