The leitmotif of this design is the use of blue hues as accents on furniture pieces and accessories, as well as the modern terrazzo tiles used in the loggia and bathroom. Against a general backdrop of white and cream, these create a soothing, relaxing atmosphere.

The beneficiary is a young lady who desired a bright apartment decorated with blue accents. The designer proposed from the beginning transforming the apartment into a studio, so the bedroom was separated from the living area by a sliding door masked in the wall.

The living area is generally the heart of the home and in this case it is a compact and comfortable space, ensuring the necessary utility. Composed of the kitchen line, the sofa placed in a corner near the access to the bedroom and a round table for two people situated towards the hallway, the living area is harmoniously proportioned and ensures the connection between the spaces of the dwelling.

The kitchen furniture, with classic milled fronts, was custom-made, allowing the owner to choose her preferred shade of blue for the bodies in the center of the composition. The arrangement of ceramic tiles between the hanging cabinets and the countertop creates dynamism and gives the space a cheerful air.

The designer opted for built-in appliances and the height up to the ceiling of the hanging cabinets (the space having a height of 2.7m), which created additional storage space very useful in a compact kitchen.

The surface area of the bathroom was increased and the door was moved towards the entrance hall. It features a generous countertop with an integrated sink, spacious drawers underneath and a niche for the washing machine. The bathtub is also recessed; it was clad with the same porcelain stoneware used for the floor and walls.

Apart from the bathroom, the rest of the walls in the dwelling were prepared to be painted with matte washable paint. The thin decorative profiles used on the walls and ceiling add elegance and a degree of sophistication to the space, being very discreet.

Laminate flooring was chosen for the bedroom and living area, in a warm, pleasant shade.

The access hallway was designed as a welcoming space, perfectly integrated into the style of the house. A large wardrobe, placed in a 60 cm niche, ensures the necessary storage space.

In another, narrower niche, an open area with shelves was created for decorative objects and cherished memories of the owner.
