When the project was taken over, the apartment located in a new building in Bucharest was in the "shell and core" stage; it had four rooms inside a 94 square meter area plus a generous 50 square meter terrace.

The challenge consisted in designing an elegant, airy space with generous storage for the young beneficiaries.

The most important requirement of the clients was related to the layout; they wanted to give up the extra bedrooms and obtain a spacious living area and a master bedroom with dressing room and en-suite bathroom.

The changes in the layout implicitly implied changes to the electrical and plumbing installations, but the result (a two-bedroom apartment, very spacious) successfully meets the requirements and needs of the beneficiaries.

The day area includes the entrance hall, kitchen, a bathroom, living room and dining area. The night area is composed of a generous bedroom, an en-suite bathroom, a secondary hallway and a dressing room.

The current open space consisting of the living room and dining room was obtained by reconfiguring two of the bedrooms. The initial living room was transformed into the 20 square meter master bedroom. The old kitchen became the dressing area; in the space of the third bedroom is located the current kitchen.

The modern style with glam influences, featuring precious gold and silver accents, defines this interior design bearing the mark of architect Cristina Micu.

The chromatic line and stylistic approach continue harmoniously throughout the entire design, conferring unity and a strong personality to the home. Neutral shades were used for large surfaces: white, shades of gray and black; highlighted by accent elements (strong colors and gold insertions at the level of lighting fixtures and furniture pieces).

The kitchen is compactly designed, with minimalist lines prevailing. The focus was on highlighting the surfaces through contrast in terms of finishes. Thus, the gray furniture contrasts pleasantly with the black marble cladding of the walls.

Wood inserts and gold accents were included to further contour the glam atmosphere. The choice of black appliances from the Teka range enhances the Calacatta marble countertop.

“The bathrooms were designed for him and her, in black and white, highlighting the feminine and masculine, in those same elegant notes. Walk-in shower, freestanding bathtub, ceramic tiles from Ragno, gold faucets, all blending harmoniously.”

The velvet navy blue sofa and burgundy red armchair contour a modern and imposing living room. The use of marble and the placement of a fireplace in the living room decor add elegance, relaxation and contribute to creating that feeling of "home". The accent wall was finished with a Murali Artwork decorative paint.
