Nature's inspiration is a frequently encountered theme in apartment designs. And when the dwelling is located near a park, the nature-inspired approach comes as a natural choice. This is also the case with the design of this 3-bedroom apartment in a residential complex located near Tineretului Park in Bucharest.

Irina Pogonaru is the designer who handled the interior design, having a budget of 10,500 EUR at her disposal; this sum included all furniture pieces, decorative accessories, and appliances.

The apartment is well-compartmentalized, with the space being able to be highlighted and used to its maximum potential. The 71 square meters (of which 64 are usable, the rest being balcony surfaces) are divided between a generous living room, open-space type which also includes the kitchen, a matrimonial bedroom, and the child's room.

The color palette and the decor itself were inspired by nature; to the white and wood tones, green hues are added, along with objects such as the fir log used as a coffee table or the large tropical plant in the living area.

Because it is a compact space, the designer opted for many custom-made pieces sketched by her, thus allowing her to better manage the surfaces and the budget she had available, without making any compromises in design. Thus, Irina worked with product and furniture designers from Romania.

The sofa was executed by Mobila Dalin, while the dressers were made to order by Mavinni Mobili. The armchair and dining chairs are a creation of Photoliu.com.

The dining area is separated from the living room by a special white dresser with carved doors, also made by Mavinni Mobili. The idea came as inspiration from the model of the lamps, the finishes of the dresser being similar.

Against a predominantly white background, green and coral color accents, as well as the prints on the decorative pillows, give dynamism to the space, offering a warm and pleasant atmosphere. The play of paintings on the living room wall takes over the color scheme of the tapestry in a coherent decor, excellently conceived by the designer.

The rug is not chosen randomly either; it connects with the monochrome space of the kitchen. The black-and-white contrast imposes a discreet elegance to this area. The table (the focal point of the area) is a creation of Irina, made by Henderson.
