The design and architecture of this loft in Kiev were handled by Ukrainian designer and architect Denis Svirid High prices in the real estate market are making it increasingly difficult to find a comfortable home with a fair balance between quality and price.

The architect's solution was to create and furnish this wonderful loft on the top floor of an old building. The loft is only 20 square meters but is superbly furnished, with wood being the main element of the interior design.

The loft was divided into two levels. Downstairs is the living room and kitchen, combined into an open-space area. Upstairs, you'll find a comfortable and minimalist bedroom next to an elegant bathroom of reasonable size.

Throughout the design, white and beige dominate, along with the wood tones of the floor, staircase steps, ceiling, and the shelf which intelligently integrates a desk.

This ingenious office can be hidden using a door covered by a mirror. It is well known that mirrors favor small spaces, and in the case of this loft, the visual effect produced by the mirror is welcome. The layout benefits from a fairly large window that lets in sufficient natural light.

The style chosen for the design of this loft is undoubtedly Scandinavian. The presence of wood combined with white walls, as well as the straight lines of the furniture, are true emblems of Nordic homes.

In this entire arrangement, one can observe the architect's talent and care in preserving proportions. Nothing is overdone, neither the blending of hues nor the presence of white or wood, and while the space may seem a bit small, it doesn't need to be any larger. Especially since the frenetic pace of daily life doesn't allow us to spend too much time at home.
