I found another inspiring interior design for you today. We are talking about a charming two-room apartment with carefully chosen pieces and the predominant color, yellow.

The young owner wanted a bright, spacious, comfortable space with a light color palette. She turned to the designers at joy Home Studio and they got to work.

The design of this two-room apartment fully reflects the personality of the young beneficiary. A positive spirit who loves art and geometric design, attributes that we find in various forms in the freshly designed decor. Nothing was left to chance and all the details are impeccably executed.

From the living room, bedroom, and into the kitchen, yellow accompanies us in different forms, literally expressing the desire for light and color for the new space. White was chosen for the walls, and a natural wood essence flooring manages to warm the space and create the perfect setting for furniture and decorations. The style adopted is reminiscent of the geometric design of the 1960s.

This theme can be found developed in various forms throughout the design. Thus, in the living room, an accent wall was created from asymmetrical squares in similar shades to different pieces found in the decor; then open shelves were mounted which create an interesting interplay of geometric shapes. The furniture pieces chosen (see armchairs) remind us of the retro style.

Overall, the design maintains a contemporary feel through the functional solutions chosen and the interesting mix between the elements that make up the design.

Since all rooms are small in size, emphasis was placed on keeping the decor as airy as possible, both in the living room and in the kitchen or bedroom. The chosen layout solutions reflect this idea. Instead of a swinging door, the kitchen is separated from the living room by two yellow sliding doors.

When closed, they isolate the room from kitchen odors; when open, they enhance the sense of space in both rooms (considering that the apartment is semi-detached).

In the kitchen, the intense yellow of the main furniture units is the star of this design. White was chosen for the walls and the rest of the furniture, which seems to highlight the yellow even more. Black chairs, a white table, light fixtures, and a Roman drapery manage to describe a stylish and chromatically balanced kitchen.
