For today I have prepared a new story whose protagonists are Eugenia and Ivan, along with their daughter. They furnished their 64 square meter apartment in Moscow according to their needs and preferences.

Initially, the apartment had no partitions so they drew up the rooms as they imagined them. This way they were able to create a 3-room apartment, with a living room, a master bedroom, a bedroom for their daughter, and a kitchen. However, the hard part was just beginning. The works lasted for more than a year due to difficulties encountered with the workers.

They were therefore forced to look for a new team willing to repair and finalize the project.

The two thought about the layout as functionally as possible, emphasizing the kitchen which they designed as a space to receive guests and eat together. Although they considered the option of an open space, where the kitchen would be open plan with the living room, they quickly gave up this idea.

They enjoy cooking and experimenting with recipes, so they preferred a closed but well-ventilated and bright space. They added a sofa and a dining area here, and by the window they created a bar-type area for quick snacks, coffee and admiring the view.

For the living room, they opted for a slightly different approach. They eliminated the television and the classic configuration with a sofa, armchairs and a coffee table to have more space for play, dancing and any other activities they could do together with their daughter. However, they chose many cupboards and designed a small workspace for Ivan.

Clearly, it is an atypical living room, of which they are very satisfied with the outcome.

As for the style, they chose a little bit from Scandinavian design, with Moroccan inserts (see the ceramic tiles in the cooking area), but a minimalist decor predominates, focused on functionality. The internet was their main source of inspiration, but visits to furniture and decoration stores also helped them shape the project.

Eugenia really wanted a door to the bedroom similar to those found in English farms, a detail she often saw on interior design pages on Pinterest. Ordering from abroad would have meant a large sum of money, so they found a skilled carpenter who made the model for them. Bringing it up to the 11th floor of the building was no easy task either.

Access to the master bedroom is directly from the living room, with the size of the door also acting as a partition. Here, the most important thing was to furnish a dressing room for clothes. The space is simple, with the bed being the central piece of the room. They added a comfortable headboard and two nightstands from IKEA.

For their daughter's room, they chose minimalist furniture, with pieces that can be easily modified as she grows. The green door is the centerpiece of the room, which is otherwise rich in colors and cheerful hues.
