Few groundcovers survive under evergreen trees and shrubs, ivy being one of these plants. We can decorate tall trees, house walls, and shady parts of the soil with it. It is a good substitute for grass, forming dense carpets in shady areas. Some varieties do not have clinging roots, so they do not climb but remain at ground level.

When it has enough light, the plant blooms in autumn and bears fruit in winter on older parts.

Culture and use It is used for decoration and camouflage of larger surfaces. It clings to walls and tree bark without support points and thrives in the shade of buildings and trees.
