F64 Cafe - Relaxation Seen Through a Fixed Lens

Our steps often lead us through truly special spaces, themed bars, and indie places with beautiful stories behind them, some of which we've already told you about, and the rest will soon be shared on povesteacasei.

Today we're taking you on a visit to a concept cafe that, despite having its own theme, differs from others because it is located right in the middle of a space dedicated to services around which it was conceived: CafeneauaF64, designed for photographers and photography enthusiasts in Romania.

The Deschide GaleriaCafeneaua was designed and built in just four months by the Form Studio architecture and design firm, located within the F64 store on one of Bucharest's most beautiful boulevards, Bulevardul Unirii, at number 45.

Architect Silviu Gavrila tells us about the project and the ideas behind this design: "I conceived everything starting from the connection with F64, meaning the integration of design objects that evoke the color scheme and essence of the F64 brand.

Establishing a café centered around the concept of photography and stimulating interest among photography enthusiasts through elements that evoke photographic art and specific development processes.

Furthermore, a distinctive feature that sets apart the designed space from other cafes is represented by the touch-screen tables – custom-made furniture elements – integrated within the F64 cafe to encourage human interaction.

The materials used in the café's design maintain a consistent base line. Everything points towards the technical space of a darkroom. You will find here stripped sheet metal, visible rivets, exposed tubing, tiles, cables, MDF and cold-colored paints.

Inside you can settle at one of the tables surrounded by minimalist contemporary chairs or on the atypical low sofas with irregular shapes that surround the interactive tables. Alternatively, you can find inspiration in the books and photo albums that rest quietly in the libraries.
