This 3-bedroom apartment received a much-desired makeover by the beneficiaries. The work was carried out by ...Sweet Home Design and we believe they've done a very good job. Let's see in detail how they conceived the project.
First, they increased the existing space by extending the living room into the loggia-style balcony area and removing the partition between the kitchen and living room. Now, everything feels more fluid and spacious.
The designers opted for a predominantly white palette to amplify the space and make it as bright as possible, especially during the short days of the cold season. They then incorporated pops of color to enliven the area.
For the living area, they opted for a Scandinavian-inspired design with simple, modular pieces intended to ensure the functionality of the space. The sectional sofa, coffee tables, armchair, and furniture pieces surrounding the television create a straightforward living room suitable for this family.
The camera perspective was framed with a fireplace and a few decorative pieces that draw the eye to an often overlooked space.
In the space of the former balcony, designers envisioned a work area with a desk, as well as a play and relaxation space with cushions placed directly on the floor. Expanding the living room increases the brightness of the room, and the scenic lighting ensures that each area of the room receives the necessary light.
The same effect was desired in the kitchen, so the furniture here is also chosen in white, with a small contoured band made of colored decorative panels. Appliances are incorporated to maintain the unitary character of the room, and the dining area completes the arrangement in a pleasant way.
In the master bedroom, the balcony space was also integrated into the room's design, providing extra space to create a beauty area or a reading nook. Designers envisioned varied storage spaces in contrasting colors, while geometric prints energize the space. Lighting is also thoughtfully designed here, creating scenographies that enhance the ambient comfort.
