We fell in love with this interior design the moment we saw it. A spacious apartment with a surface area of almost 100 square meters, a family with 2 children, and a talented architect who transformed a space into a vibrant, comfortable, and functional home – here's an interior design model that we absolutely have to share with you!

Open Gallery Julia and Alexander, a young couple with 2 children, one 5 years old and the other just 2 months old, wanted a more spacious apartment suited to their family's new needs. They purchased a new home in a residential complex and hired architect Mila Titova to help them design their apartment.

Initially, the 3-bedroom apartment was slightly disproportionate, with a hallway that was too large and not functional at all. After many discussions and proposed plans, they reached a consensus, and Mila's solutions perfectly matched what the couple wanted for their home.

Thus, a 3-bedroom apartment was transformed into one with 4 bedrooms, featuring functional zones, efficient storage spaces, and natural circulation.

Living Room

The living room maintains a simple design, emphasizing functionality. A corner sofa, a console for the television, and white shelves against a backdrop of a turquoise-blue wallpaper, along with a few decorations, pleasantly and coherently define the decor. In contrast to the turquoise, the wall with the television is white.

The room enjoys abundant natural light, illuminating even the kitchen area.

For the cooking zone, Mila opted for darker shades, which add depth and discreet elegance to the entire design. The space is unified by compact furniture, built-in appliances, and matte fronts. The same type of laminate cladding used on the wall with the dining area can also be found in the hallway.

Bedrooms

The girl's room introduces us into a world of play and stories. Touches of pink, cheerfully colored curtains, and various storage spaces for clothes and toys. Interestingly, a play area is designed under the window in the form of a platform. Most of the furniture pieces were custom-made according to the architect's design.

The entire apartment benefits from very pleasant natural light, especially in the afternoon, as well as a surprising view. The generous glazed surfaces are a major asset in this interior design.

However, for a large surface area like this 100 square meters, Mila envisioned different lighting scenarios: atmospheric lighting, where the light provides a pleasant feeling of relaxation with adjustable intensity fixtures; decorative lighting, where lighting fixtures and beams highlight objects or features of the decor; and functional lighting that ensures uniform and efficient lighting throughout the space.

Thus, by combining all three types, from LED lights to recessed spotlights or pendant lamps, the space receives efficient lighting adapted to each function.
