As you have constantly requested ideas on how to furnish a studio apartment and small spaces in general, we are back to meet your needs with another furnishing model where you will surely find many ideas to put into practice.
Sinziana Badea from Xtrude Design is not used to functional simplicity and the refined aesthetic sense with which she treats the small spaces she designs.
Today we are talking about a 37 square meter studio apartment that is part of the Adora Pipera residential complex (Bucharest) and designed to show potential clients how they can transform it into a space that meets all their needs.
Although the space is limited, the apartment has the advantage of allowing for a clear separation of rooms. The kitchen is closed, and the living room can be partially or fully separated from the sleeping area. To avoid claustrophobia, the alcove was not closed with sliding doors; instead, the living room furniture was extended to create a partial separation.
Since this niche where the sleeping space was arranged does not receive direct natural light, Sinziana opted for the construction of a false window covered with a blind. This balances the level of lighting during the day throughout the apartment and eliminates dark areas.
The furnishing of the apartment generates small zones for each type of activity of a young tenant: a dining area, a bar overlooking the terrace, a small desk, a sofa and TV area, and a sleeping area.
The focal point of the studio is the blue sofa thanks to the intensity of its color, and for the predominantly white kitchen, the shelf and two yellow stools brighten up the atmosphere.
The connection between the two color accents is made through curtains and decorative accessories. The design strictly followed the concept, so it was necessary to have the furniture custom-made.
The sofa is from Art and Home, the pal wood furniture was made by the 3D Desire Concept team, and Karo Perdele took care of the textiles (curtains, drapes, cushions, blinds, and bedspread). The bed and headboard were ordered from Euromobila. The rest of the decorations that complete the final image are from IKEA.
The paintings were made by Sinziana herself, inspired by the concept of the apartment and the color palette used. The lighting fixtures are from Eglo (Cocoon collection). The budget amounted to approximately 7000 euros.
