What can you do with just 40 square meters? Few things, you'll say, but not if the space is designed so that functionality takes precedence, of course, without sacrificing style. Here's an example, an apartment that includes everything and deserves our full attention.
Having a longitudinal layout, the designer chose to give up the hallway in order to create a living area connected to the kitchen and dining area, thus increasing the comfort of the home.
The red-white theme is found in most areas of the apartment, giving it a modern, dynamic and stylish air at the same time.
For the living area, a simple and uncluttered arrangement was chosen, with white enhancing the feeling of cleanliness, order and even spaciousness, despite the red accents. Interesting are the niches in the walls on either side of the sofa which take over the storage spaces of the room, being at the same time a bookcase and a support for CDs and other decorations that dress the area with a personal touch.
The space dedicated to the living area is completed by a round coffee table which, in turn, takes over the storage of magazines. But the most interesting aspect is the abstract painting above the sofa which successfully manages to create a point of interest, the eye being drawn to the play of colors on the white background of the canvas.
The dining area creates a connection with the kitchen. With a completely white table and chairs, this sector is highlighted by a red light fixture continuing the theme started in the living room. The all-white kitchen furniture manages to shine through the intense red front between the cabinets, being a splash of color that animates the entire room.
A glass wall visually separates the kitchen from the entrance area, marked by an ingenious coat rack shaped like a cactus.
Even in the bedroom we will find an accent wall in a saturated burgundy red with a print-type painting. A more subdued shade of red was chosen here, knowing its effects on mood. The clothing storage space is an open sector with drawers and clothes rails as well as shelves for shoes.
