These 40 square meters are quite limited. However, it's not impossible to furnish and live comfortably in them, even for two people. Designers from Kyd Buro in Russia had the mission of restoring functionality to this apartment according to modern standards, but above all, suited to the couple's needs.
Maintaining the simplicity and efficiency of the Scandinavian style, the design is outlined in white and natural wood lines, with accents of color and natural light.
Because we are talking about a one-room apartment, the living room transforms into a sleeping space at night by extending the sofa. The compact furniture system ensures the necessary storage spaces; here we also find integrated a small workspace and shelves in the form of stairs.
Green accents and colorful pillows, as well as small decorative details, bring the decor to life and personalize it in a pleasant way.
The functional design line continues in the nearly 12-square-meter kitchen. We can say that this room has two subfunctions: the cooking area and the dining area. White furniture with a Subway tile front and a few shelves make up a compact area with built-in appliances. Storage spaces have also been outlined around the bench belonging to the table.
You can enjoy a meal relaxed or spend more time with friends in such an interesting space, highlighted in the context of a classic kitchen.
The hallway space is also personalized, equipped with wardrobes and a bench, as well as a welcome message! which could be customized with any other text depending on the space and layout.
Let's not forget how important artificial lighting is for a small home. Various lamps and pendant lights ensure efficient lighting in these rooms of the apartment.
