The story of today's apartment begins in 1915 with the construction of the building it is located in. Currently, the apartment has been modernized while retaining some distinctive features from the previous century.
The decor features simple lines, elegant furniture, and neutral hues alongside vibrant tones, transforming the entire look into a distinctive one.
Given that the apartment was not particularly spacious, the architects who handled this renovation had a rather challenging mission, which led them to opt for original and practical solutions at the same time.
Each element harmoniously blends into the whole, with a few pieces standing out: the coffee table in the center of the living room and the other tables with their unique, almost invisible design, or the artworks that adorn the walls in an elegant and delicate way.
An original creation is the bathroom integrated into the bedroom. The wall separating the two rooms was partially demolished, so the bedroom now appears more spacious, with the two rooms interconnected. The predominant color is white, for its effect of brightness, spaciousness and above all the subtle refinement perceived at every step.
Solid wood floors complement the overall fresh and comfortable look. Mirrors are also used to create a sense of spaciousness.
The kitchen also falls into the minimalist décor category of the apartment. Initially separate from the entire ensemble, it now forms part of the living room, the transition being subtly achieved through the dining area. Open shelves adorned with various practical and decorative items complete fresh and airy aspect.
Plants appear in all rooms, especially bathrooms; a welcome touch of green for air purification and a unique decor. The balcony has undergone a radical transformation, being turned into a dining area that can be easily used as a reading or work space, benefiting from maximum natural light.
The side walls are decorated with open, black shelves holding books and plants again. The structure of the apartment itself harmonizes pleasantly, the black and white duo being broken up in places by touches of green, cream, and the colors of the books or decorative objects.
Nothing betrays the age of the building and apartment; the design and furnishings are truly exceptional in vision and effect.
