If you are also looking for an apartment to rent, here are some tips to consider.
After viewing a few apartments, you have finally decided on one. Before signing any contract, we advise you to take another look at a few aspects. Check if all the household appliances are functional; although it may take time, it is better to do it now than to pay for their repair in the future or wait forever for their replacement.
Check the noise level in your future rental apartment. If it is street-facing and the noise level is high, you can hear car horns, traffic noise, then you should perhaps ask yourself a question regarding the sound insulation of the apartment. Also, if you hear your neighbors' voices very clearly, you will certainly feel discomfort in the future.
Ask if the apartment has been or will be renovated. A minimum cleaning is essential. If you do not receive any guarantees that this will happen, it may be best to look further. It is also good to clarify aspects related to furniture. Whether you want an unfurnished, partially furnished, or fully furnished and equipped apartment, it is good to establish these aspects before moving in.
There is a risk of ending up with too much furniture or, even though you were promised a bed and a wardrobe, you are forced to buy them yourself.
Check the hidden areas of the apartment. Take a look inside closets or dressing rooms. If their appearance is not satisfactory or shows signs of degradation or strange smell, it is advisable to ask for their replacement. Check for any traces of mold or mildew.
It is also important to check if the taps in the bathroom and kitchen are working properly. The same should be done with the electrical installation.
Remember: your comfort is important! Choose carefully the place where you are going to spend the next 6 months, a year or maybe more.
