For about 3 years, the Povestea Casei.ro team has been trying to present you with daily sources of inspiration for decorating your home. Whether we are talking about presenting real arrangements or useful tips for the home, we ourselves are inspired by designers and architects who have a say in this field and whom we want to promote in turn.

Interest in interior design is on the rise, something we also observe from the messages received on our facebook page. And as we promised in a series of messages, today we return with the answer to the question: How do I become an interior designer if I haven't finished the Faculty of Architecture?

The answer is built together with the architects and designers from Atelierele I LB AH, who periodically organize courses in the field. The diplomas obtained are accredited by the Ministry of Labor and the Ministry of Education, being recognized internationally.

Those of you who wish to obtain such a diploma should know that there are two courses: one for beginners and one for those who want to specialize, both taught by professors who are experienced architects.

The introductory course lasts for ten weeks, during which the students will be surprised and will have demonstration sessions with professionals in the field. They will also participate in workshops, competitions or visits to specialized showrooms.

For example, in the last series, the students visited and interacted with specialists in paints from Culori si Idei and designers from the Scavolini furniture showroom.

The introductory interior design course covers numerous topics that underpin theoretical and practical knowledge of interior design. Some of them are:

Notions about client psychology;

Decorative styles consecrated before 1800 (from the Renaissance to Neoclassicism) and after;

Color theory and their importance in design;

Spatial problems;

Lighting and furnishing;

Scale and proportions (survey);

The specialization course lasts for five months and is divided into two stages (each lasting 10 weeks). During these stages, students assisted by specialized professors, carry out various projects, different layouts through various graphic methods, models, mood boards, both in two-dimensional plan and three-dimensional perspective.

During these specialization stages you will become familiar with the most important aspects regarding the arrangement of an interior space structured on different architectural programs: arrangements of houses of different typologies, office arrangements, arrangements of various public spaces (showrooms, restaurants, cafes etc.).

You will deepen both the technical elements involved in the process of planning and organizing spaces, as well as artistic considerations.

What happens after graduating from these courses?
