After Saint Nicholas has passed, we can officially start preparing for Christmas. And what better way to begin than with the very symbol of this holiday: the Christmas tree.
Big or small, natural or artificial, decorated with modern or vintage ornaments, the important thing is that the Christmas tree doesn't miss from your home. Choose to delight your soul with these wonders and dress your house in festive attire.
As much as we would love the smell of pine in our homes, not all the trees we buy will offer that specific aroma. Moreover, the longer you keep it indoors, the faster your little Christmas tree will wilt. In addition, it is good to know that a natural fir tree will be harder to decorate due to its irregular shape and unevenly grown branches.
On the other hand, with an artificial tree you will be able to explore more types of decorations, the advantage being that you will be able to use it in the following years as well. So weigh this decision carefully before making any purchase.
Once you've decided what kind of tree you'll have, it's time to start decorating. The first step: install the lights! Depending on the size of the trunk, you can install one or more installations with colored bulbs.
The next stage should be planned in advance so that you can choose the pieces carefully: the thematic colors and details you want to highlight. Red and green are the classic colors, but you can just as well choose a theme with gold, silver or neutral shades inspired by nature.
Decorator's tip: choose at least 3 large pieces to decorate the tree, they can outline a small focal point in the overall ornament. They could be 3 hand-painted or artisan baubles, 3 pieces made of wood.
There are multiple garland options. This year you can choose not to use garlands or, on the contrary, replace the old ones with more modern ones. It all depends on your imagination and inspiration at the moment. In the gallery, we have selected models of arrangements with and without garlands. When decorating the tree, place the garlands after you have installed the lights.
It will be easier for you to spread the rest of the decorations afterwards.
Organize your decorations! Spread them out on the floor and choose the ones that match the chosen theme. Combine the old ones with the new ones as you decorate the tree. If you are decorating two or more trees, then all of them will be useful at that time.
