Avocado is one of the healthiest and tastiest fruits you can eat, in various types of dishes, from sauces to sandwiches or even in their natural state, for those who prefer the true taste of fruit.

One of the hardest things to achieve when it comes to planting an avocado is trying to grow it from the seed stage, trying to make it root. However, the more difficult a gardening project is, the more special it is and will make the results much more appreciated.

The first step you need to take is to buy an avocado from the store and carefully remove the fruit pulp. After removing the pit from the fruit, wipe it clean and leave it to dry for a day or two.

Once dry, insert 4 toothpicks lightly into the pit and place it in a glass of water, with the pointier end of the pit facing up. Do not push the toothpicks in too hard, as they will surprisingly enter easily.

The pit placed in the glass should be covered by 2/3, and the toothpicks will help you keep it on the surface of the glass.

After completing these steps, all you have to do is wait and hope that the pit will sprout roots, as they have a rather low germination rate. That's why it would be advisable to try with several pits at once, and in about 3 weeks, you will see the first results, of course, if the pits sprout.
