Mushrooms are incredibly tasty and filling foods, and given how easy they are to grow, there's no reason not to try creating a small garden dedicated to several types of mushrooms.
To grow mushrooms, you don't need many things; all you need is moisture and a shady, dark environment. The most efficient outdoor space where you can plant mushrooms using wood chips is near a tree where the mushrooms will benefit from its shade.
If you have a spacious terrace, you can try growing them there or in your garden where they can thrive freely. Here's how to proceed:
Dig a shallow trench near a tree. It's enough to make a semicircle shape, so as not to plant in a complete circle, thus covering the entire base of the tree. Once the trench is dug, apply some cardboard which will help retain moisture. After scattering the spores, add another layer of wood chips, and your mushroom garden is ready.
