If you desire a modern interior that is easy to clean and maintain, but at the same time, you don't want to invest a fortune in parquet or a solid wood floor, installing a carpet is the most suitable thing for a successful interior design.
Installing a carpet is much simpler than you think, and if you follow these steps, you can't go wrong!
1. Determine the area of the room where the carpet will be placed and carefully measure all sides and corners of the room.
2. Carefully clean the entire floor surface before starting to install the carpet in the room.
3. Remove the doors for the duration of the flooring process.
4. Measure, cut, and assemble the baseboards.
5. Roll out the carpet over the entire floor area of the room.
6. Tuck the edges of the carpet as close to the wall as possible. Cut off any excess carpet that extends beyond the total floor area.
7. Carefully trim the corners of the carpet so they can be easily secured closer to the wall of the room.
8. The carpet must be well measured and delimited beforehand.
9. The rug that will go over the carpet, to ensure a more comfortable and warmer space, must be cut to the edge of the walls.
10. Glue the cut pieces of carpet to keep them stable for a long time.
11. Cut the edges around areas that are not straight or in the corner area. Install the carpet starting from the edges towards the center to make sure you don't create wrinkles.
12. Trim the excess carpet along the edges of the walls.
13. Use a metal bar to level the entire surface of the floor that has been covered with carpet.
Trim the carpet evenly throughout the room to remove any lint and potential unevenness that may occur.
