A linoleum floor seems "outdated" to you and are you thinking of replacing it with a tiled one? Find out that this is possible without having to first remove the linoleum layer. We offer some suggestions on how to prepare the surface and how to install the tiles.

If there is a wooden floor under the linoleum layer, you need to perform the following steps:

after cleaning the linoleum layer well, apply some special adhesive for floors over which you place O SB boards of appropriate thickness;

after placing the O SB boards, fix them to the floor with the help of self-tapping screws while the adhesive is still soft;

use some putty to level the joints between the O SB boards and let the entire surface dry;

place a layer of fiberglass mesh over the O SB boards;

apply the ceramic tiles after previously applying a layer of special adhesive for tiles, and let it dry;

apply a layer of special adhesive for grouting the tiles.
