I have for you today a new interior design project for a small space. More precisely, a 36 square meter apartment. One main room, a kitchen, a bathroom and a small hallway. With skill and imagination, the designers managed to get the most out of this apartment, transforming it into a livable space.
To furnish a small space you need tricks and creative ideas so that the decor takes shape in a pleasant and above all functional way. This is the approach taken by the designers from Zukkini who took care of this studio apartment. To ensure the comfort of the beneficiary first and foremost, they thought of dividing the room into several zones or sub-functions.
Thus, we have a sleeping area, a space equivalent to a mini-living room, a small office area and, of course, storage space.
Minimalist, but comfortable
To separate the conversation area from the bed area, the designers chose a bookcase with open shelves on which various decorations can be placed. Ingenious, creative and functional at the same time. The sleeping area gets the intimacy you need and you also get an extra storage space.
And since we mentioned storage, take a close look at the effect of that wardrobe placed on the wall opposite the window, with sliding doors covered in mirrors. It gives depth to the space and creates the impression that the space is larger than it actually is. I recommend such a positioning in your room as well, if we are talking about a bedroom for example.
In addition, the fact that it reflects light helps the arrangement appear more spacious.
The bed is placed right by the window, and the long, thick curtains once drawn allow you to sleep in later without being disturbed by the light.
The kitchen as a socializing space
Kitchen design retakes the idea of a space for spending time with friends, the sofa with the round table being the place for dining and socializing at the same time, which no longer had a place in the main room. The kitchen enjoys pleasant light being positioned on the south side, hence the idea of spending time cooking and socializing with friends.
