Each wall planter is made from concrete. Join us at apieceofrainbow and experience the true taste of Romania. They have a triangular shape, but you can also make them in other geometric shapes as long as you draw a correct pattern.

What materials will you need:

You will need cement, sand, and a shovelful of gravel to make the concrete mix.

A template for cutting cardboard, like the ones in the gallery images. If you wish to make other geometric shapes, you will need to draw your own template.

A casserole dish where you can mix the above and plastic bags

Scissors for cutting cardboard, adhesive tape for wall planter shapes

Gloves and dust mask

Cut the cardboard according to the template to create the two wall planter shapes, the outer and inner ones. You will later pour the cement mix between them. After cutting the shapes, glue them together with adhesive tape as shown in the images above.

The exterior cardboard form will also need to have three holes to create the drainage and mounting holes for the wall planters.

Pour the mixture into the larger mold until it reaches the level of the perforated holes in the cardboard, as shown in the image. Then place the second smaller cardboard mold inside and continue pouring the mixture to the top.

You will need to let everything harden for at least three days, wrapped in plastic bags where you have created condensation. After three days, remove the cardboard and because the concrete is very alkaline, we recommend keeping it in water for a day and then letting it dry.

Afterward, decide if you want to paint these wall pots or leave them as they are. Add a splash of color or keep their natural look. Then take young succulent plants, a few weeks old, and place them in the pots. You will need to hammer thin nails into the wall following the pattern of the pot holes. Hang them in any arrangement you desire on the wall.

We recommend removing them once a week to water them properly and air them out a bit.
