Moving from one home to another is not the most pleasant experience. Hundreds of objects that suddenly seem meaningless, boxes upon boxes, the costs generated by transportation, the arduous moving day itself, and then a few days in which every necessary object seems to have disappeared forever.

Open GaleriaIf planned in advance, however, the process can even become enjoyable.

We suggest you approach it from a new perspective: get excited about the new place, the possibility of rearranging objects into a new functional scheme, the new life you are starting, and take advantage of the opportunity to simplify your life by getting rid of all unnecessary things (if you don't realize what unnecessary things are, create boxes with anything ambiguous that you haven't used in the last year; keep them for a few days and save only what needs to be saved).

Iata o schema inteligenta pentru a imblanzi procesul mutatului:

7 weeks before the move:

Decide which contracts you need to sign in the new home (cable, internet, electricity, gas) and which contracts you need to close at your old address.

6 weeks before the move:

Decide whether to hire a moving company. Research the market, request quotes, and determine if you want them to help you with packing or just transportation.

5 weeks before the move:

You can start the fun of sorting things out. Start with clothes you no longer wear. Be honest with all the garments you haven't worn at all for a whole year. The same applies to any object that is moved from one closet to another periodically.

Think that if you move unnecessary things from one place to another, you will complicate the moving process (time for packing, unpacking, transportation costs), while if you donate them to someone else, you will simplify your life and make someone happy.

4 weeks before the move:

Start packing things you don't use frequently (seasonal clothing, gadgets, items from the pantry or attic). Consume the food in your refrigerator and freezer and avoid making large purchases during this period. Purchase boxes for transportation, scotch tape, and create a color code for the boxes, depending on areas and destination.

3 weeks before the move:

Pack small items you don't use frequently: jewelry, cosmetics, documents. It's another opportunity to get rid of anything you no longer like or that has expired. If necessary, confirm transportation with the chosen company.
