The efficiency of your kitchen depends largely on how you arrange it and the space you have available. The so-called work triangle is the key concept or basis on which you will build your kitchen layout. Considering how the 3 workstations will be integrated into the space, you will be able to decide how practical your kitchen is in terms of their arrangement.

The Work Triangle does not necessarily have to be a triangle. The configuration of our kitchens is so diverse that sometimes the arrangement of the 3 points (the refrigerator, oven and sink) cannot respect this principle. The basic idea is preserved, however: the movement between points should be as easy as possible.

For everything to work well in your kitchen, it's good to consider adapting to the space. Don't get a refrigerator that's too big (like a two-door one) if you only have 6 square meters available. The same goes for the stove.

If you have just finished renovating and are preparing to buy new furniture, it may be time to replace it with an oven and a hob (whether gas or electric). Choose where you want to place the oven, under the countertop or in a tall cabinet. Try to place them as close together as possible to be as efficient as possible when cooking.

Avoid placing the refrigerator next to the cabinet that includes the oven (if we are talking about a tall cabinet)! Leave a minimum space of 45 centimeters between the two. Also, there should be at least 60 centimeters of space between the sink and the hob so that there is room to prepare food and place various containers.

If you want a dishwasher, the right place is next to the sink (possibly above the sink, inside the cabinet, with a drip tray installed) so that you can make loading and unloading the machine easier.

A useful thing to keep in mind is not to overload your worktop with other appliances that you need in the kitchen. Surely some of them are not used so often that they deserve to take up valuable space. The microwave oven is quite bulky and will take up a lot of space on the countertop.

Maybe a suitable place for it would be to integrate it into a cabinet above the oven.
