Spinach is probably the most consumed plant by children, especially if they have watched Popeye the Sailor, from where they learned that only by eating spinach can one be strong and defeat their enemies.
Now, even though we are adults, spinach has remained one of our favorite vegetables, both due to its taste and its health benefits. With a high iron content, spinach is the most suitable food for having energy throughout the day.
Spinach is very easy to plant and does not require a lot of care, especially after the seed germination period has ended.
The seeds must be planted 4-5 cm apart from each other, in small holes with a depth of 1-2 cm, in soil that is very well fertilized and enriched with natural fertilizer and a lot of nitrogen. These are the basic things spinach needs to grow under optimal conditions and with the highest productivity.
Once the seeds are planted in the ground, you need to make sure they are not eaten by various bugs who are just waiting for this delicacy from you in your garden. You can easily protect the seeds with a mesh through which light and water can pass, located two hand spans above the area where you planted the spinach.
