For this 38 square meter apartment, the owners wanted a refurbishment to be able to rent it out as a hotel. They had a limited budget, so they turned to their friend for advice.

Anna, an interior designer, relied on effective tricks using decorative and chromatic techniques, as well as reusing what already existed in the apartment. The desired result was a welcoming arrangement that would attract as many tourists as possible.

The functions were not modified, the kitchen and the main room remaining self-contained. No changes were made in the bathroom.

The main transformations are perceived mainly at the level of the decor. Curtains, paintings, throws and decorative pillows, a floor lamp and accessories, these are some of the things with which Anna managed to animate the space of this apartment.

In the main room, she chose to visually separate the two functions, the living room and the sleeping area, with a curtain. Although it is not fully drawn to hide the bed, the partition effect is clearly defined. Adding the rug, a plant and a geometric detail made with gray paint, the space of the small living room has changed significantly.

The wardrobe next to the bed was replaced with a clothes rack, more suitable for the new context of the apartment. The rest of the furniture pieces were kept.

By integrating existing things into a new color palette and adding accessories made from natural materials, the new decor borrows accents inspired by boho-style interiors: the sisal rug, the bamboo blind in the kitchen, plants and decorations.

Two Eames-type chairs were purchased for the kitchen, and the space next to the table was ingeniously decorated with a mint green hue (similar to that of the furniture). Three shelves in the same shade were added within the painted perimeter. The effect is simply wow!

The hallway was painted in a dark shade that gives the interior an elegant and even noble air. The coat rack and shoe cabinet were kept, to which a bench with shoe storage, a round-framed mirror and a lamp for ambient lighting were added. The thus composed decor appears more unitary, more welcoming.

The budget for this refurbishment was approximately 1500 Euros.
