To open Galeria, you will need a large vinyl record, an oven-safe dish, and oven mitts. Before starting this project, it is important to know that these vessels cannot be used for food storage and you will only be able to make one or two at a time as they produce a lot of smoke during the baking process.
It is advisable to turn on the hood and ventilate the house very well afterwards during preparation. Ideally, it would be best to make it in a summer kitchen or an outdoor oven.
First, select a vinyl record and clean it with a dry cloth. Choose a bowl or dish of your desired size, one that can be placed in the oven and heated. The circumference of this will determine the circumference of the vinyl vessel. Place the bowl upside down on a baking sheet and position the record on top of it.
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Place the tray with the dish and vinyl inside the oven. Make sure you put the disc with the desired side facing down. Leave them in the oven for 8, maximum 10 minutes.
After these 8-10 minutes the disc will look like in the images above. Remove the tray from the oven and with cooking gloves on you can still mold the vessel if you wish, but you will have to do it very quickly because the vinyl will cool down and harden again. If you want to mold it further, leave it in the oven for another 2-3 minutes.
To obtain the most accurate shape, you can press the vinyl vessel inside the vessel that has been in the oven.
Let the vinyl cool completely before removing it and using it for storage, decoration, as a candle holder, key holder, or even to hold flowers.
