For the design of this studio, the designers opted for a youthful approach with plenty of open spaces and fluid circulation. The absence of walls and bulky furniture are the two elements that contribute to this achievement.
Regarding the style adopted, both the beneficiaries and the designers agreed on a modern decor, with elements inspired by the atmosphere of a loft, adapted to the dimensions and reality of a studio with a ceiling height of 2.55 m.
The initial planning ensured an optimal functional division of the available space. There is only one separate room: the bathroom. The rest of the functional spaces: kitchen, living room and dining area, combine harmoniously in the open-plan living area which is accessed through a long hallway.
The kitchen furniture is arranged linearly, perpendicular to the window area. The rest of the furniture is arranged in the same way, and this visually aligns the entire space, forming a pathway for as free a flow as possible.
Since cooking is an occasional activity, the beneficiaries eliminated the upper part of the kitchen furniture, thus avoiding overloading the space. The role of the dining area was taken over by a bar table and a few chairs. The entire area was accentuated with spotlights mounted on the ceiling or suspended above the bar table.
The decor in neutral tones contrasts with the light shades of the furniture. Curtains with prints and sheer curtains bring brightness and a pleasant atmosphere to the interior, dominated by monochrome and gray tones. Most of the furniture in the common area was custom-made.
In the living room area, decorative objects and books were integrated into a large shelf that covers one of the walls. Storage spaces have been moved to the hallway, into large built-in wardrobes.
The bathroom is perhaps the most nonconformist area of the studio. The walls are partially finished with cement, partially with black tiles, as is the floor. The emphasis is on the shower partition made of blue-green glass bricks.
