We often encounter intense accents or strong color contrasts in contemporary kitchen designs. Despite the reduced dimensions we are used to, kitchens decorated in this way seem to break the mold and defy any rules of small spaces. Let's take the example of this particular design.
The black accents surprise you from the first image. You wouldn't expect to find black in a 10 square meter kitchen. And to make everything even more intriguing, touches of red have been added, along with a vegetal print in the form of wallpaper that highlights the dining area. It is, without a doubt, a bold approach.
With such strong accents, the space needs chromatic balancing. That's why a lot of white was used, at the level of the walls and furniture fronts; the glossy MDF reflects light, creating a spatial enlargement effect.
The design follows an industrial line, initially conveyed through the bold shades and subsequently through the design of the metal bodies used for storage, the three pendant lights that provide accent lighting, and the worktop made from a composite material.
The configuration of this kitchen is another detail that caught our attention – the U-shaped layout. With such an arrangement, you allow for a larger number of storage spaces, and using three walls ensures the best working efficiency.
Since we are talking about a current kitchen design, you will notice the built-in appliances to create the impression of unity and order. The oven and refrigerator are located on a separate wall.
This kitchen also has a socializing character. The bar area, which can also be used as a dining space, for coffee breaks, or work, is complemented by a TV area, designed as an extension of the living room; it stands out with half a wall painted red, a black clock, and two bar stools.
