Kitchen Design Trends in 2015

If 2015 is the year you've decided to redecorate your kitchen, here are some design trends you can draw inspiration from.

The perspective on interior design is changing. Shelves and racks are taking the place of classic cabinets. This creates a more airy space, perfect for displaying cookbooks, favorite mugs, or even colorful plates. Of course, you can keep closed cabinets, especially in the lower part of the kitchen.

To create a focal point in the cooking area, choose a vinyl wallpaper or stickers. In a small proportion, they will bring a pleasant contrast to a decor dominated by simple colors such as white or neutral shades.

Metallic light fixtures, made of copper, bronze, or generally metals in warm tones, represent a trend that has gained ground since 2014. Bet on these features to make an impact; you can combine them with vintage faucets in similar colors.

Try new textures: from stone, such as granite, marble (although it is a bit more expensive), any material in its most natural form. Designers are betting on these details and using them successfully in many designs instead of ultra-finished and glossy surfaces.

Black attracts attention and impacts any decor, especially in combinations with other colors. A kitchen where black is present does not necessarily mean monotony or a claustrophobic space. In association with plenty of white and a few discreet pops of color, it will make your kitchen an elegant place with a strong personality.
