In a London suburb apartment, one arrangement caught our eye. The space itself doesn't stand out with any particular style, but it charms with its vintage and slightly rustic feel. But if we were to name a favorite detail, it would be...The small kitchen The yellow one.

The dwelling itself is rather compact, yet it features two bedrooms. The living area pleasantly combines the kitchen and living room in an open-space layout that receives ample natural light thanks to its large windows. In contrast, the bedrooms have typical dormer windows, resulting in a smaller amount of light.

White is predominant in this design, thus keeping the rooms bright and airy. Against such a backdrop, the yellow accent of the kitchen manages to stand out and create a true focal point. Every decorative detail adds a touch of personality to a space that doesn't excel through modern finishes or unique pieces.

The various combinations introduce us to a home where people live, with its advantages and disadvantages.

Flooring is one of those elements that imbue a space with value. Immediately following, the fireplace must be mentioned, a superb piece around which the conversational area revolves. On either side we will find two asymmetrical storage zones that do not overwhelm the space at all. In fact, this apartment does not abound in furniture, only truly useful pieces being chosen.

A minimalist approach is also found in the two bedrooms, one being a smaller child's room. The bed takes center stage, accompanied by a mirror and a wardrobe for clothes. The dormer windows provide the spaces with enough light so as not to appear too dark or claustrophobic.
