Livingului Living rooms are assigned multiple functions depending on the needs and priorities of each individual. Considering this, we can say that the living room is the room to which we attribute the most significant attributes in our entire home. It is, if you will, our calling card.
Depending on the configuration type, the living room is used in many ways. From spending time with family, a reading spot, and a place to watch television to socializing with guests who come to visit.
First, consider the primary function of this space: an elegant space with a unique decor or simply a pragmatically designed area for family time. These directions will serve as the foundation for the following steps in decorating your living room.
Next comes the selection of storage spaces and how they will integrate into the overall room design. Furniture pieces, such as a bookcase, shelves, floating shelves, a dining table (optional), or even a desk if there isn't a dedicated office space. However, furniture alone is not enough to consider the room fully furnished.
There are also other elements such as the rug, paintings, or a sculpture that contribute to creating a complex and personalized design. And of course, we include lighting fixtures here which will highlight all of the aforementioned elements. Personalizing the space is the key factor by which we define well-being in a room.
As mentioned in previous articles, you shouldn't be afraid to use bold colors, even as simple accents in your décor. However, we should avoid the other extreme as well.
What can we do? A neutral base like walls painted in shades of cream, beige, or simply white will allow you to gradually add those pops of color that brighten the room and make it vibrate, transmitting a sense of well-being.
Color accents combined with textures provide dynamism and warmth to the living space. Such colorful elements can range from a lighting fixture, decorative pillows or a throw on the sofa, to a picture frame or a lampshade. You can keep the entire decor neutral and add color through curtains or drapes at the window.
It's important to choose things that make you feel comfortable and happy.
