A spacious apartment is a very good example of how to achieve excellent space planning and functional design.
This interior design project was carried out by the designers at ITHAKA Studio following the technical instructions received from the beneficiary. Thus, the desired proportions and the correctness of the functional spaces were respected.
The interior of this 3-bedroom apartment benefits stylistically from a minimalist approach, where geometric shapes and straight lines predominate.
A decorative element that adds personality to the space is the monochromatic painting of the walls, but in contrasting shades. Thus, from the living room to the bedroom, maroon-chocolate or anthracite gray combine with white to break the monotony induced by it.
The kitchen opens onto the living room through the bar area and includes a generous dining space decorated with three suspended glass light fixtures. In this living area, the arrangement of furniture and decorations reminds us of how a studio apartment is organized.
We can observe the abundance of storage spaces, very well integrated into the furniture and optimized to ensure the beneficiary's storage needs.
The chestnut wood furniture has been added with a glossy white sticker on the top. Straight lines and smooth surfaces create a contemporary design that focuses on the beneficiary's needs.
The transition to the living room is harmonious, thanks to the unified look maintained by the white furniture. The two accent walls positioned one in the kitchen (imitating the texture of cement) and the other in the living room (imitating the color of chocolate) create a necessary contrast. Otherwise, the white walls and wooden parquet flooring induce a sense of spaciousness.
Very interesting is also the approach to the bedroom. The doors have been eliminated, the entrance is made directly from the living area, and the delimitation of spaces is no longer so strict. The colors are soft, restful, in accordance with the space intended for sleep and relaxation. The bed along with the furniture stretches along the entire length of the wall and at the same time provides a storage area.
Glossy furniture together with mirrors and the abundance of white create the sensation of a very spacious bedroom.
