We are analyzing today the modern Nordic style interior design of a 3-bedroom apartment from a residential complex in Gdansk, Poland.
The apartment was designed for an active family of 3 members who wanted to enjoy every moment spent at home.
The kitchen and living room coexist in the same open space area where Nordic style elements predominate: wood, metal, and many lighting fixtures. In this ensemble, we distinguish a tower-type hood which, together with the worktop, visually separates the kitchen from the living room.
The cooking area is a true visual delight thanks to the household appliances with a metallic look, the sink placed by the window, as well as the dark color patch that continues towards the ceiling on the countertop.
The dining area integrates perfectly between the living room sofa, the kitchen island, and the exceptionally high windows protected by fabric blinds. In this area, we notice the symmetry and coherence created by the metal lamp above the table together with the mirror placed horizontally on the wall next to the table.
The living room naturally completes the room: the gray of the sofa is similar to the upholstery of the dining chairs, the coffee table is made of the same wood as the kitchen countertop, and the living room bookcase is a combination of white and the same wood color from the kitchen.
The accent wall in the living room is used as a partition for the entrance hall, where a mirror and several storage spaces have been placed.
In the hallway, we cannot help but notice the oversized gray radiator that matches the accent wall in the kitchen and at the entrance to the house.
The master bedroom is an interesting mix between comfort and functionality. The feeling of comfort is provided by the generous bed and the padded wall it is attached to. Functionality arises from the storage spaces present, but also through the presence of a small desk for the days when one of the two spouses needs to work from home.
The master bedroom also benefits from its own bathroom with a shower, which is decorated in the colors of the house: white, gray, and yellow.
The boy's bedroom is furnished in the new Nordic style with industrial accents and maintains the mix of functionality and comfort: the wall behind the bed is padded, while on the opposite wall there is a small desk for the child.
After reviewing the entire design, we can say that what truly captivated us was the designers' ability to take advantage of natural light and complement it throughout the apartment with intelligently chosen lighting fixtures.
