Inspired by the fairytale landscapes of autumn and their colors, this four-room apartment was designed for a family with two creative and athletic children. The project, bearing the signature of Natalia Mukasyan, was completed in 2019.
The beneficiaries purchased an apartment with a standard structure and layout, on which they decided from the beginning that intervention was necessary to adapt the space to their technical and aesthetic requirements.
The resulting layout, after studying and analyzing five variants, proposals, includes two bathrooms (one of the clients' priorities), two dressing areas, a mini laundry room, a kitchen with an integrated dining area, a living room, a master bedroom, and two bedrooms for the children.
The design concept started from the clients' desire to have a harmonious, bright interior that emanates a calm atmosphere. The design team opted for a modern style with classic accents (decorative profiles, stylized furniture pieces, textures of chosen materials) and a range of warm colors, inspired by the shades of autumn nature.
The exception is the two children's rooms, where splashes of color have been incorporated based on a modern stylistic line but maintaining at the same time some classic details to harmoniously integrate the bedrooms into the overall decor of the house.
The use of solid wood and white-painted wood furniture brings warmth to the rooms and constitutes a suitable background for color accents and textures. Thus, a playful yet stylish and elegant decor was obtained, where space was also allocated for the piano, play area, and study area.
With an average surface area, the kitchen was designed with modern corner furniture and a dining area located near the entrance. The monolithic sink, incorporated into the white Corian countertop, adds elegance to the entire furniture; the option of a countertop made of composite materials being extremely suitable for kitchens due to their antimicrobial properties.
The flooring made of hexagonal ceramic tiles beautifully personalizes the space and highlights the gray matte finished furniture pieces.
