For this apartment, the designer aimed to create a contemporary style interior design, focusing on developing a comfortable space equipped with necessary functions.
The space is treated minimally to keep the interior as airy as possible. Predominantly neutral colors are used, enriched with textured finishes. The accent wall with a three-dimensional effect, brick cladding, and play of lights create an urban landscape look.
The apartment is quite small, with a surface area of 40 square meters, but it is optimized to ensure the desired conditions for the beneficiary. Thus, we will find efficient storage spaces, a kitchen equipped with necessities, and a main room designed to combine two functions: living room and sleeping area.
The furniture is minimal to keep the space as airy as possible. Using different types of textures, from rough to soft and fluffy, a current decor was created, where the emphasis is on shapes, volumes, and special finishes meant to highlight the space.
The brick cladding takes over from the building's facade, while the urban landscape photo wallpaper subtly reinforces the design theme. Even plants have a well-defined role.
For the kitchen and bathroom, the designer obtained two functional zones, well adapted to the small space. The arrangement of furniture pieces, the incorporation of appliances in the kitchen, and a shower area in the bathroom strengthen the idea that any space can be optimized through a careful selection of elements.
Lighting plays an important role. Using spotlights and LED strips, as well as pendant lights, different scenarios are created for each area, whether we're talking about the entrance hall, the kitchen, or the room. Accent lighting highlights textures (see the three-dimensional accent wall or the brick walls).
Using various light sources intelligently, as well as smooth, glossy surfaces, including mirrors, the designer manages to create the illusion of an expanded space, reducing the discomfort of limited dimensions.
