For this three-bedroom apartment, the young beneficiaries desired increased functionality and a modern, current design. They turned to Irina, an interior designer, who fully understood their desire to live in a contemporary space adapted to their needs.

The 73 square meter surface area of the apartment came with limitations and few options for reconfiguring the space due to load-bearing walls. However, a modification was made at the kitchen level, which was opened up to the living room (see attached sketches).

The building in which this apartment is located is situated on the bank of a lake, although it does not have a direct view of it. Nevertheless, Irina proposed a theme inspired by this proximity to water, which she developed in various forms throughout the design. The result is a stylish apartment with many refined details well integrated into the context.

Although we are used to light tones and as neutral colors as possible to provide maximum brightness to spaces, in this design you will notice many darker, cooler, contrasting shades. For example, in the third bedroom, the walls were painted blue, a non-conformist choice but carefully accessorized to mitigate any unpleasant effect.

Since we are still talking about a theme inspired by nature, we will also find colors that remind us of earth, stones or wood, culminating with a moss wall in the bathroom. From room to room, the design theme can be perceived as a walk along the bank of a lake.

Particular attention was paid to the finishes and accessories that personalize this space in an original way: from the accent wall in the living room created using a decorative panel that imitates the shape of waves, to decorations with colored stones or tiles with a wood-like appearance. Almost all the objects in the decor have a connection to the aquatic motif.

All functions are well optimized. The day area includes the kitchen and living room, forming a unified whole through pieces with a simple, linear design. Large appliances are built-in to maintain a tidy look; a bar area extended from the worktop is used as a dining space, also serving as a discreet partition between the two functions.

For the bedroom, the textured accent wall represents the focal point of the room. Textures enrich the decor through throws, decorative pillows, curtains and drapes. The cornices painted blue remind us again of the design theme.

Elegant, coherent and unitary in concept, this design deserves to be seen and admired in every detail!
