Modern, with retro detail inserts and contrasts between neutral tones and intense color accents. This is the story of a three-room apartment in the Unirii area of Bucharest, whose arrangement was completed in 2020. It has 84 square meters of usable space and the investment amounted to €45,000 without the construction team's labor costs.
“At the time the interior design project started, the apartment was completely finished by the developer, keeping the parquet flooring, doors and kitchen tiles, while the rest of the finishes were changed” tells us the project author, Cristina Micu.
Both bathrooms were completely redesigned to meet the clients' wishes and the new concept agreed upon. Thus, the previous finishes were removed and replaced with new ones. The sanitary ware (Hansgrohe, Roka, Belform, Ideal Standard brands) was also replaced. The kitchen and bathroom ceramics are from Marazzi, Ragno.
The shape of the bathroom furniture ensures the necessary storage space and at the same time gives dynamism to the arrangement. Attention to detail can be easily observed: the details of the milled handles, the composition of the mirrors, the placement of small accessories.
For the complete implementation of the design concept, modifications were also needed for the electrical installation in the rest of the dwelling, with sockets and lighting fixtures being placed according to the proposed arrangement.
Most of the furniture pieces were purchased from Rovere, Kare Design and Ioooi, while custom-made furniture was made at Settimo Design Store. This mix of personalized furniture and serial furniture ensures all the necessary comfort and a pleasant visual impact.
On the wall with the sofa in the living room we find a wallpaper in neutral, light shades, by Glamora, which constitutes a relaxing and sophisticated background for the living area and visually unites the dining area with the relaxation area. At ceiling level, the two suspended luminaires add elegance to the space and accentuate the points of interest.
The bedroom is furnished in warm, neutral tones, contrasted by the imposing blue of the bed velvet. The dressing area was designed as a built-in wardrobe next to the bed, with wooden doors framing the modern glass doors.
