Casa Naturalia is a bio-raw-vegan bakery and pastry shop opened in October 2015 in Bucharest, in the Unirii area. Spread over an area of 90 square meters, it was designed to be a natural, intimate and warm refuge from the hustle and bustle of central Bucharest.

The project was carried out by the Avantgardesign team: interior designers Simona Bonea and Bogdan Apostoiu and architect Victor Popescu. The project was complex, including the brand identity for the first location of this kind opened by the owner of the Naturalia supermarket chain.

The challenge was to combine as many natural elements as possible in a refined style that would convey the bio philosophy behind the brand without visually overwhelming the space. The choice of materials was natural, opting for natural finishes (wood and stone), including in the visual identity of the brand.

Spectacular is the undulating shape of the ceiling, designed by architect Victor Popescu and executed by Atipic, with a "swallowtail" type joint, like a puzzle piece. The ceiling, made of stratified poplar plywood and manufactured by Atipic, takes on the valued 3D shape that dialogues with furniture elements with slightly curved lines.

These align with the finishes of the walls and floors, which retain the wood grain and stone veins, creating an effect of amplification and fluidization of the space. The furniture is entirely designed by the team of architects and designers and manufactured by Delta Studio.

For the flooring, Alamo tiles from Dalet were used in 120 x 19.5 cm slabs. In the serving area, the walls are covered with Oxo Garden Arena ceramic tiles from Porcelanosa (faience with a leaf pattern). The sofas are custom-made at Meranti, and the lighting fixtures are supplied by Luminna.

Dalet ceramic tiles were used in the bathroom, a blend inspired by the Natural K T, Natura Woo Birch and Natura Wood Oak collections. Sanitary ware is supplied by Delta Studio.

The wallpaper contains a natural print of cherry blossoms, and together with the slate that covers two accent walls, it gives personality to the space, managing to transpose nature in a relaxed way into this urban oasis.
