The well-known burger franchise from New York, Shake Shack, has just opened its newest location in Dumbo, Brooklyn, and all the tables and other furniture pieces are made from recycled materials by designer Mark Jupiter.

Jupiter has the ability to transform historical materials into new treasures, and now many more people will be able to see his works on display in such a popular restaurant.

Designer Opens Gallery The designer has a national reputation for his fine craftsmanship, commitment to sustainability, and work with New World Home. All of Jupiter's custom furniture is handmade right in the heart of Dumbo at his new expanded workshop.

To surround diners with a visual and functional display of Dumbo's industrial history, Jupiter created the custom furniture pieces from the heart of a 400-year-old pine tree and reclaimed beams from local construction sites, such as the former Brillo Soap and Arbuckle Coffee warehouses.

This unique Shake Shack is located in a century-old brick building at 1 Old Fulton Street and offers views of Manhattan next to a wood-burning stove. In addition to furniture sourced locally, this Shake Shack will add menu items inspired by the surroundings. An example is a new dessert named after the nearby Jane's Carousel.

Although this new location is only the second Shake Shack open in Brooklyn, the burger empire announced that work has already begun on a third location across from Barclays Center.
