The proposal we present today surprised us with its nonconformity. We are talking about an apartment designed for a young man passionate about photography and music, but also travel, hobbies that we find integrated in various forms throughout the decor.
The space of his 2-room apartment is small, but the colorful details more than compensate for this inconvenience. At first glance, it might seem slightly chaotic, but the space overflows with life and dynamism, a part of the personality of the person who lives here.
The living room includes a small living area and an open-plan kitchen. The colors used visually delimit the functions and individualize them. Stylistically speaking, the design leans towards an eclectic zone, with different pieces from various eras and regions united under the same roof.
If blue is the color of the living room, from the sofa to the rug and the painting that stretches across two walls, yellow reigns in the kitchen, changing the atmosphere into a warmer and more welcoming one. Despite the differences, the two functions intertwine. Blue extends into the kitchen, while yellow can be found in the decorations around the perimeter of the living room.
We like to say that this apartment is a lived-in one, where life is experienced with passion; practically, every object has an emotional meaning and, therefore, an important place in the ergonomics of the design.
The yellow-blue duo is also found in the bedroom. The space takes on some elements we might have found in the living room, such as the bookcase or the piano. The wall behind the bed hides a walk-in closet spacious enough for various clothes or belongings that needed adequate storage.
The space around the bed is enhanced with the help of a blue wallpaper with a subtle pattern suitable for a bedroom, while the rest of the wall is painted a similar shade of blue. From halfway down, it is paneled with wainscoting. The effect is interesting due to an accent zone that delimits the sleeping area from the rest of the furniture. A workspace has also been set up here.
