The inspiration for today comes in the form of this 3-bedroom apartment design, done in a pure Scandinavian style. The pieces and decorations were carefully chosen by Yulia, who is both the designer and the homeowner.

As a professional, when you are designing your own home, you tend to be very meticulous with every detail. Nothing in this design was chosen randomly; almost every object has a story, and everything that made it into this apartment has its place.

The neutral color palette allows for varied accessorizing: from white to light grays and with black accents here and there, it lets colorful decorations stand out while also providing the perfect backdrop for future stylistic changes.

The living space is minimally furnished, with the focus on the work area featuring two desks and storage. The dark-toned parquet flooring contrasts with the other details, adding depth to the decor.

Yulia's favorite spot is the kitchen. This 12 square meter room perfectly illustrates the Nordic style. Compact furniture with a linear layout provides the necessary space for cooking and storage. Appliances are integrated, enhancing the sense of unity, while Metro-style decorative tiles between the cabinets elegantly complete the decor.

The gray and black accents are well-balanced, and decorations like the Fornasetti ceramics on the wall by the dining table were already planned before any design process began. Yulia's attention to detail is evident in every corner of the house. Geometric patterns and shades find their counterparts in each space, creating a coherent and unified design.

The bedroom adopts the color scheme from the living area; the wallpaper draws attention and helps define an accent wall suitable for such a room. The upholstered headboard adds extra comfort, while the textiles are chromatically coordinated. Some storage is also found in the hallway, where a niche is now used as a dressing room.

The two bathrooms showcase the same minimalist approach favored by the Nordics, with plenty of white to amplify the space. The louvered doors on the cabinet under the sink are an interesting choice. The guest bathroom surprises with its mix of white and yellow; half of the wall is painted yellow, while the other half is covered with white Metro-style tiles.
