The design of small spaces continues to amaze us. Through the creativity of interior designers, interiors are transformed into comfortable, functional homes with style. We chose to illustrate this by showcasing the design of a small apartment in Barcelona.

Within the 40 square meters, the Egue y Setaa studio team succeeded in creating a space with a current, practical design, highlighting features of the building located in a historic part of the city.

Open the Gallery You will surely notice the vaulted ceiling, a characteristic of Catalan architecture. For an added effect, the designers chose to preserve exposed brick This design element adds uniqueness to the arrangement. To further highlight the texture of the bricks, ambient lighting was added using LED strips.

The 40 square meter surface was efficiently divided into a living room with a lounge area, kitchen and dining space, and a bedroom with a bathroom. The partition between the two zones was made using a metallic structure similar to a Uniiglasvandce, which incorporates a piece of furniture with a dual function: on one side, kitchen cabinets, and on the other, in the bedroom, a mini-dressing for clothes.

It should be noted that the apartment is not permanently occupied, hence the lack of more generous storage spaces.

Everything is unified and fluid through efficient integration of the necessary components. The interior is not cluttered with furniture but optimized to offer maximum functionality. Emphasis was placed on the kitchen area, which occupies a significant portion of the room's perimeter. The technical zone with the work triangle is arranged linearly, all with a simple design.

The dining area occupies the central space, acting as a link between the kitchen and the small living room.

The Game of Lights creates various scenographies within the arrangement. Indirect lighting highlights the texture of the bricks, while strips mounted under shelves provide additional accent lighting necessary for workspaces. The oversized light fixture mounted above the table particularly draws attention.
