Scandinavian style enthusiasts, this couple wanted their apartment design to be built in the spirit of such interiors. Although the mission seemed simple, they realized things could be more complicated than imagined and decided to seek the help of Justyna from Zaza Studio.
The 81 square meter surface was thus designed in a Nordic spirit, with a bright and airy ambiance, plenty of natural light (an advantage of the apartment's layout), but with cheerful pastel tones. The two did not want anything complicated, just an intimate, comfortable and welcoming space, with classic functions, including a desk.
The living area encompasses the living room and kitchen, which form a unified whole in this zone. The dining area, pleasantly situated by the window, connects them. While the kitchen is small, as the couple is often away, they desired a functional layout with storage spaces and a bar area, despite rarely cooking.
Justyna proposed a compact, unified approach with a combination of white and natural veneer, and between the units, tiles in a very pleasant blue (the shade is called [nuanta]). A very similar color will also be found on two chairs in the dining area – a discreet way to imprint coherence on the decor, offering a chromatic motif that connects the two areas with a common denominator.
For the living room area, a pastel pink sofa and an oversized painting were chosen, incorporating hues from the room's palette.
The bedroom uses a nature theme conveyed through that classic wallpaper with trees, a recurring motif in Scandinavian interiors. The two bedside tables complete the theme through the material used, the same natural wood, very similar to the texture of the parquet flooring. The yellow armchair is a welcome splash of color in this predominantly white and beige decor.
The third room was conceived as an office, following the same minimalist Nordic line. Wood tones predominate here as well. The same textures will be found in the elegantly appointed bathroom.
If you love pastels and airy interiors in a Nordic style, then this design will surely please you. Pay attention to the decorative details in each area!
