In the design of this apartment, communication between the beneficiaries and designer was excellent, and the result is one to match. Many of their ideas have materialized in various forms which the designer knew how to integrate into the decor in a creative way.
Open GalleryThe apartment has a 3-room configuration, with a living room, kitchen, bedroom, a room furnished as an office and two bathrooms.
Each function develops from the ideas and desires of the two beneficiaries, so that the space takes us through a kind of story that begins in the living room with a wonderful aquarium, continues with the kitchen where green is the main theme until the bathrooms with a vegetal motif and a surprising epoxy floor.
Overall, the design is coherent, with well-dosed color accents that imprint dynamism on the space. The living room follows a minimalist design, with a neutral base on which yellow and green accents develop. For the wall with the television, a rather neutral wallpaper was chosen, with a discreet print.
The aquarium is the main piece of the decor, which creatively communicates with the hallway, being visible both from the living room and from the hallway.
For the kitchen, the designer opted for a bolder approach, with an entire wall painted green, and in the furniture, inserts of cube-type shelves also in green. The rest of the decor is white to balance the chromatic scheme, and black inserts at the countertop level and between the cabinets bring an extra touch of elegance to the space.
Appliances are incorporated into the furniture, and storage spaces are generous.
The bedroom is the most subdued room in this house. Neutral tones of cream, beige and brown predominate, and the texture of exposed brick.
But perhaps the most spectacular spaces in this apartment are the bathrooms. The epoxy floor, along with the chromatic play of the tiles, transforms the master bathroom into a sensational one. The service bathroom is not far behind either, with its vegetal motif print, green-framed paintings or branches used as towel holders.
The play of mirrors imprints depth on the space and makes it appear larger.
This design proves once again that creative ideas can transform a space by giving it personality and originality and that nothing is too far-fetched when we talk about the intimacy of our homes.
